Amazon makes deeper health push with $3.49 billion One Medical deal

Amazon.com recently announced that they are purchasing a medical firm for $3.49. This medical firm will contain bricks & expert doctors’ team because big eCommerce takes care of health deeply.

All the deals show that Amazon is very conscious about the health of their employers and reflects their ambitions. Before this, Amazon visited virtual care centers in Seattle in 2019. Now Amazon is going to start the same project in different cities.

The senior vice president of the Health department of Amazon has said, they think healthcare must be included in the list of high-priority experiments and it needs to be reinvented.

In One Medical, Amazon aims to get a firm with big names like Airbnb and Alphabet Inc’s Google. This report has been taken from their website.

In this project of Medical care, Amazon will provide two types of offers i.e. telehealth means consultation on phone with a doctor. The second type includes one on one meetings with doctors.

There will be 182 offices that will be spread in more than 25 big markets in the United States.

The big e-commerce store has decided to pay eighteen dollars for a single share of One Medical. If we compare it with the closing price of Wednesday, it is approximately 76.8%. Before that day, the value of a share for One Medical was $16.95.

Anyhow, the total amount of this deal is $3.9 billion including debt.

After the breaking news of the One Medical deal with Amazon, telehealth Teldoc decreased by 8% in the morning.
