How to track a USPS order using Informed Delivery

You can also track a USPS order by using informed delivery. For this, you need to sign up for Informed Delivery. This is a free feature that USPS provides to its customers. Here you can manage all the packages and letters on a single dashboard.  

Here are some simple steps to track a USPS order on informed delivery.

1. Go to the official USPS website

2. Click on “Quick Tools” and select informed delivery.

3. Sign up or log in to an informed delivery account.

4. Navigate to “Packages” and check the status of all packages.

5. Select the package you want to track.

6. Check the status of the package.

How to track down missing or delayed packages

The packages that are not delivered on the expected delivery date are considered delayed or missing packages. The USPS recommends waiting for seven days before starting a complaint against a missing package. Possibly, it is on the route.

Anyhow, you can track your USPS package without a tracking number. In this situation, you need to contact USPS customer service by phone or mail. They may ask you for the following information:

1. Class of shipment

2. Address where to deliver the package

3. Was it insured?

4. What did the shipment contain?

5. The shipment value

How to track a USPS package using Stamps.com

If you want to track a USPS package, you must have a tracking number. This tracking number can be found on the shipping label or in the Stamps.com account.

2. Go to the Ship status page

3. Put USPS tracking number without dash and space in the search bar

4. Tab on “check status”.

5. View the scan history of your package

You can track a USPS order by getting information from Stamps.com. You can connect yourself with the Stamps account by the software (download here). Through this software, you can access the shipping details of your package.

In the software, click on the “Search” tab in the left corner.

Now click on status and see all shipping details of packages. You can choose the tracking number that you want to track.

For more information go to the transactional details window where you can see details regarding delivery date, address, weight, mail class, and cost.

Print the tracking information and keep it in your own record. You can share it with the destination person.

All United States postal services offer to track a USPS order. Anyhow, some services require an additional cost to track while others are available for free.
